Start-up life

Hello, fellow fintech enthusiasts!  If you're reading this, you're probably either already engaged in financial technology or thinking about it. So, take a seat and prepare for an honest look at my personal ride into startup life—from the perspective of a new marketing intern at a fintech startup.

Let me describe a normal day in my life as a marketing intern at Pantar.ai. I recently started this trip as my first job, and let me tell you, it has been quite an adventure. My day begins at 9 a.m. in Madrid, where I take Spanish courses to polish up on my language abilities. By 11 a.m., I'm back at home, energized by a quick meal and ready to dive into the world of fintech.

By noon, I'm on my second cup of coffee and ready to face the daily tasks.  As a newcomer to the fintech sector, I spend a lot of time conducting research — analyzing market trends, evaluating competitor's strategies, and finding potential prospect groups to target. Recently, I was assigned with writing blogs for our website it's been a learning experience. Hey, everyone has to start somewhere, right?

Working from home has challenges, especially when I share home with my sisters. Distractions plenty, but I've learned to handle them gracefully (most of the time). A small lunch break at 3p.m. allows me to refresh before getting back to my work.  By 3:30 p.m., I'm back at it, determined to complete all of my goals for the day.

At 6 p.m., it's time to finish off work and start the dinner preparation. Cooking with my sisters has become a ritual, and I enjoy the opportunity to relax and interact. As the evening approaches, I take a relaxing walk around Madrid's streets, allowing me to clear my thoughts, absorb the city's vitality, and gain inspiration from the world around me. Furthermore, it's the ideal opportunity to check out the latest advertisements and projects from other firms, which are shown on bus stops and billboards across the city.

After catching up with friends and exchanging experiences from the day, I return home to recharge for the upcoming day. Job uncertainties coming from Startup life may be stressful, but the learning experience is extremely rewarding, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
